Medical Library Association Pharmacy and Drug Information Section Membership Information

Purpose

Established in 1948, the Pharmacy and Drug Information Section of the Medical Libraries Association was formed to promote the educational and professional growth of its members by providing opportunities for the investigation and dissemination of knowledge in the areas of drug information and health sciences and pharmacy librarianship.

Benefits

• Provides a professional network to develop or establish contact with colleagues having similar interests.
• Promotes participation in the Medical Library Association through active involvement in Section committees and programs.
• Publishes PDI Alert (a newsletter twice a year).
• Provides annual programs and a business meeting, including the EMBASE Lecture, which features a prominent speaker on topics sucsh as emerging technologies affecting the transfer of drug information, information resources, and drug information centers.

Membership

Any MLA member with an interest in pharmacy and drug information is invited to join. Dues are $15 per year.
